CEON - 9th International euroCRIS Conference held in Maribor

CEON/CEES is a virtual R&D institute, acting as a S&T observatory.

Pulls together experts from various Serbian institutions in a non-for-profit organization to develop informetric methods and databases intended for the evaluation, as well as for promotion of research results produced in Serbia. Works on integration of the national system of S&T information and its harmonization with EU standards. Is pleading for public, data-based, and non-arbitrary evaluation. Supports, promotes, and is practicing Open Access to S&T information.

9th International euroCRIS Conference held in Maribor

The Conference, held on 5-7 June 2008, was entitled Get the Good CRIS Going: Ensuring Quality of Services for the User in the ERA.

CEON/CEES was represented at the conference with one plenary lecture.

The main themes of the conference were:

Data Management and Quality of Service
Presentation of "best-practice" examples (success stories)
Research Information Systems as a Strategic Commitment

Within the framework of the conference four Workshops and a Tutorial also took place and they additionally enhanced and deepened the debates and the exchange of views.
