CEON/CEES is a virtual R&D institute, acting as a S&T observatory.
Pulls together experts from various Serbian institutions in a non-for-profit organization to develop informetric methods and databases intended for the evaluation, as well as for promotion of research results produced in Serbia. Works on integration of the national system of S&T information and its harmonization with EU standards. Is pleading for public, data-based, and non-arbitrary evaluation. Supports, promotes, and is practicing Open Access to S&T information.

The report is of cumulative character, comprising data for the period from 2002 to 2008. Contains indicators of journals impact in both international and domestic periodicals, as evidenced from Web of Science, a standard international source for the purpose, and SCIndeks, the Serbian Citation Index. Based on the indicators and according to the Regulation on the procedure and method of evaluation and quantitative expression of the results of researchers, so called preliminary category for all analyzed journals was determined. The Report includes bibliometric quality indicators, intended primarily to the journal publishers and editorial boards. These indicators are used also by CEON/CEES within its programme of international promotion of the best quality national journals. The report is available to all users of Serbian academic network at http://scindeks-bic.nb.rs/. To editorial boards that don't have access to the Serbian academic network, CEON/CEES provides access to the Report on a special request basis. |
