In order to improve the quality of domestic scientific periodicals, The Ministry of Science and Technological Development adopted the Act about Scientific Journals Editing, which should serve to the editorial boards to improve their journals and to contribute to greater involvement of journals into domestic and international system of scientific information.

CEON/CEES took an active participation in preparing the Act.

The Act is intended to the publishers and editorial boards of scientific journals that are included in activities of The Ministry of Science and Technological Development, related to the evaluation (categorization) and co-financing of journals, as well as their international promotion.

The Act specifically regulates the equipment of the journal as a whole and the journal articles as its component parts. It also determines content of administrative documentation used during editorial process.
